Just to re-confirm that all coaching is suspended until Wednesday 2nd December.
We understand that these are difficult times for everyone but are confident that we will be able to get tennis back up and running straight away when restrictions are lifted – we are working tirelessly in the background to ensure everything is in place. Reverting back to the Tier system of local restrictions in December will mean we can operate coaching within any Tier safely and within government guidelines, so this is the timescale we are working towards.
As you are aware our coaching operates on a Direct Debit basis where payments are spread equally across the year, regardless of how many sessions are delivered in a given month. This allows easier management of payments for customers and i2c alike it also means that the coaches receive a steadier income. We build in coaching breaks within the payment structure that means you pay for 45 sessions across the year.
You have paid a direct debit for the month on November, 4 sessions. (I note that some players play twice a week) If we recommence on 3rd December as planned. We will be able to deliver Decembers weeks as normal. Throughout December we will also be offering players catch up coaching sessions for November.
The details of these sessions are being worked out behind the scenes with clubs and coaches. For juniors this will be in the form of additional coaching groups based on player age and ability on weekends and evenings during December and some in the school holiday leading up to Christmas Eve. We will let you know in plenty of time so you can plan for these in advance.
For Adults, we will offer extended and/or additional catch up sessions tailored to the times you play now based on experience but also additional options too.
All players will be specifically sent details of the catch-up coaching groups by Friday 20th November and you will be asked to sign in to sessions you can do up to the amount of time owed.
Whilst this is a big task, we feel it is imperative that you/your child still get their tennis coaching provision for the remainder of the year – the physical and mental benefits of tennis have really come to the forefront since Coronavirus hit us all and we are committed to continuing to provide this. We also need to ensure the sustainability of the coaching programme and the coaching team at the club.
Our team of coaches will be sharing tennis-based content and challenges, tennis educational content for both players and parents and keeping you updated on how they are getting through this lock down by sharing activities too. We really hope you can join us and share your experiences as well.
